My favorite day of the year! Eeeee! (That was an excited squeal. ;) )
All sorts of little creatures: monsters, skeletons, witches, rats, ghosts, crows, etc. made an appearance. Luckily they were the handmade kind, not the real ones. Phew!Farmers brought pumpkins, gourds, squash, and indian corn. We met a beekeeper whose honey was there as well. Just like any arts festival, crafters/artisans from all walks of life were there. There was such beautiful halloween and autumn home decor. I even bought a piece: a haunted mansion picture (I'll have to post it soon.) And the food...yum! We had cider donuts, a pumpkin canoli, and apple cider. Note: the drink above in the pictures is actually a candle! So we didn't drink that, but it smelled pretty delicious!
I think the reason I love this day so much is just the environment. The cool air, the leaves have changed, the beautiful decorations for sale, pumpkins tucked in between the trees and the courthouse...it's a magnificent time. <3
