Nothing But Christmas

Nothing But Zero had their Christmas concert downtown last night.  They played a variety of songs and threw some Christmas songs in as well.  My heart skipped a beat as they played the opening to Wonderful Christmastime.  I love that song.  (I'm pretty sure it stems from my love of Paul and Linda dancing in the music video. So sweet and fun.)

For some videos, go here, here, here, and here.

a banner for the band

Tonight Adele and I created a backdrop for Nothing But Zero.  We came up with three design prototypes for the band to choose from beforehand.  They decided they wanted just the band name in white using the lettering we used on one of our draft sketches.  So we kept it simple (which was a-okay by us) and painted the backdrop as requested.  Adele worked from right to left while I worked from left to right and somehow we miraculously met in the middle on each word.  Stepping back, we were really pleased with how it came out. Now we just hope the band is too!

Nothing But Zero Summer Concert Series

^Look! Nothing But Zero's youngest fans!^
That last picture-I couldn't resist! I love how calm they appear, as if they were admiring a painting or listening to an academic lecture instead of a rock concert.  Respectful audience members, I'd say.

The band played their second show at dusk on Sunday evening.  Highlights of the show include:
an entertaining mosh pit being formed and later on, Mitch (guitarist on the left in the first picture) coming off stage to jam next to some buddies/fans.  They really are my favorite punk-rockers.

I love these boys and this band.

Nothing But Zero Summer Concert Series

Nothing But Zero is a band that is close to home with my group of friends.
They're either a member or they're helping tune guitars, untangle cords, set up lights,etc...
or/and at the very least, they're fans.
Nothing But Zero had their first concert last night.  They now play at an old storefront downtown, which makes for a really cool venue.  Years ago it used to be a monogram shop and the door still proves evidence of its former identity. (I think it's a fun touch.)    They had a good crowd, people lined the walls and bay windows.  After the main show, Nothing But Zero put on a small after-party show for the family and close friends that were still there.  This of course, included Becca, Adele, and I. ;)

New! Nothing But Zero Merch!

Last night, Adele and I stayed up working on new designs for Nothing But Zero gear.
This is what we came up with- it's our latest creation to be released!
It is a hand-designed, hand-painted original.
Enjoy!
There will be more to come!
