We celebrated the fourth of july yesterday by seeing fireworks. Is there another way to celebrate? I think not. We went to a quaint town about a half hour away to see them. It appeared as if they have been having other celebrations there as well- the sidewalks were painted similarly to Paint the Town.
In the evening people let off colored smoke bombs, children were running around in swimsuits, sparklers were being waved in the air. The river looked absolutely beautiful at dusk. Once it started getting a little darker, people lit lanterns like the ones that were at Bonnaroo.
We thought the fireworks were really good! And the finale! Whew! Spenser put on sunglasses for it and I can't blame him. The sky exploded in a myriad of fireworks!
